President of Nicaragua: Peace remains our main objective

The co-presidents of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, participated in the 25th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), where they insisted on the need for union because the main objective is peace.

“Our main objective is still peace, we are still fighting for peace and we want Peace,” Ortega emphasized during his speech.

He also asserted that the North American empire intends to paralyze, terrorize peoples with barks and bites, which is nothing more than sanctions and blockade.

In this regard, Ortega affirmed that barking can be overcome with firmness, with courage, and without stopping walking, moving forward, following the example of Simon Bolivar's liberating feat.

“The North American empire feels itself master of Our America under the Monroe doctrine, which is none other than taking over all of America and the Caribbean,” he said.

Ortega highlighted the work of the ALBA-TCP, asserting that it is a fundamental organization of resistance against the intention of the United States to take over the Continent.

“Despite all the ups and downs, despite all the threats, despite all the sanctions, ALBA is still alive, ALBA is still walking,” he added.

Ortega took the opportunity to denounce the siege and military siege to which the peoples of the south are subjected under the false pretext of drug trafficking, especially Venezuela. “What they have done is steal, an oil tanker was recently stolen, label thieves,” he said.

“These are aggressions that are targeting all the countries of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and there will be some governments that think that because they are “friends” of the United States government, nothing will happen to it, the imperialists have no friends,” he said.

Ortega also stressed that the Venezuelan people are happy, happy, firm, ready to face anything, with the conviction that they are not going to come out and defeat them. “Venezuela is at peace, they have not succeeded in achieving the uprising of the people against the government, on the contrary there is total unity of the people with the authorities of the Bolivarian Government,” he said.
