The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, accused the West of disrupting the global energy architecture, whose consequences, he said, are already negatively impacting the economy of the European Union (EU) and accelerating the reconfiguration of the global market.

During his speech at the Russian Energy Week 2025 forum, last Wednesday, the head of state argued that Western elites have proven not to be reliable partners and that their actions have led to an objective restructuring of energy supply routes.

Putin pointed out that despite unfair competition, the country maintains its position as one of the world's leading oil producers.

Crude oil production will reach 510 million tons this year, and the reduction planned for 2025 responds to sovereign agreements within OPEC+, not to external pressures.
