The president of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, appealed this Sunday to open “spaces for dialogue” in respect of international law in the face of the current aggressions caused by the military presence of the United States in the Caribbean Sea, close to the territorial waters of Venezuela.
“We have always had the same position in each of the conflicts and that is to open spaces for dialogue with respect for international law and that is what we are also asking for in this matter,” said Sánchez.
In his speech, at the 20th G20 summit, Sánchez recalled that Spain had not recognized Venezuela's electoral result, although that “does not prevent international law from being respected”.
