President of the Chamber of Construction: This sector has seen a reactivation of 72%

This Tuesday, August 18, the president of the Bolivarian Chamber of Construction, Gersón Hernández, highlighted the commitment of the private sector to work on the execution of works and housing construction through the alliances that have been developed in conjunction with the Bolivarian Government.

In this regard, during an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he specified that the sector has experienced a reactivation of 72% since the beginning of the year, with the formation of multiple alliances between the public and private sectors with a number of 407 companies registered in the chamber.

“With the policies that are being implemented right now, a range of interesting opportunities are opening up, with incentives in the area of housing. A framework of legal security is being generated and we have interested foreign investors,” he said.

He also highlighted alliances with trade union federations and the National Institute for Socialist Training and Education (INCES) for the reconstruction of housing and the training of new talent among workers in the labor sector.

“There have always been alliances with trade union federations, with INCES, it's important to return to the scheme of popular builder schools,” he said.

He said that “we in the chamber about 12 years ago based this type of impulse on the popular builder's manual that already exists and that has a long time. A parallel proposal is that they can be incorporated into the execution of works and that they receive theoretical training and, in turn, practical training in the field”.

He also pointed out the provision of the necessary inputs for reconstruction by the members of the chamber, where he emphasized that cement production is guaranteed by the public and private sectors.
