The President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, this Monday, February 26, dismissed the Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, José Antonio Salazar, from office, on the grounds that he has betrayed the Colombian Government on the subject of the company to prepare passports.

Through his account on the social network X, the head of state announced that his immediate inexistence was signed.

“The contract is corrupt and here the capacity of the private company is involved in all Thomas Greg & Sons processes and in the monopolization of all private data in a single private company,” he explained.

The expelled secretary signed a million-dollar contract with that company, which had been managing the system and drafting passports in Colombia for more than 17 years, despite the fact that the Foreign Ministry wanted a tender involving more entities.
