President Petro: Gringos' greed for natural resources threatens Colombia and Venezuela

Colombian President Gustavo Petro warns that the US empire's “greed” for natural resources puts Colombia and Venezuela at risk.

“This is the reality of Venezuela's wealth in non-renewable resources. They can turn us into a Syria, Colombia and Venezuela, because all they care about is greed,” the Colombian president wrote this Monday in his X account reviewed by the HispanTV portal.

In addition, the president of Colombia rejected the accusations of “oligarchic castes” who point him out for trying to promote the continuity of the government of Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela or for receiving benefits from drug trafficking.

“No gentlemen, Bolivar's sword was never smeared with cocaine. Power is not ours, it belongs to the peoples, and the time has come for peoples throughout America as well,” he stressed.
