“A pedophile clan wants to destroy our democracy. And to prevent Epstein's list from being made public, they send battleships to kill this city's fishermen and threaten our neighbor accusing him of being a dictator to go after his oil,” Colombian President Gustavo Petro denounced after the criminal military attack ordered by Donald Trump from the United States (USA) against Venezuela.
During a presidential event in Santa Marta, the Colombian president referred to the scandal within the United States. In the United States, where the Congress of that country demands transparency in the publication of declassified files that reveal the names of the “clients” of Jeffrey Epstein, a sexual predator who died in prison in 2019, after being found guilty of trafficking in girls and young women, and who for more than a decade was Trump's “close friend”.
He stated that this was the reality of what happened after the attacks in the Caribbean and the military aggression against Venezuela, as a way of diverting US public attention from the problems of the current president and the economic disaster of his administration in this second term.
“They don't want the list of Epstein's friends in the United States to appear,” he publicly denounced, suggesting that the strategy is for the American people not to think about their own government, “but to let ideas of xenophobia, racism, ideas of superior race and other false ideas slip into them.”
In this regard, he warned that they use governments in the Latin American region not to discuss their serious episodes of violence and other social, economic and political disasters, “so that the people of the United States do not think about their own problems.”
Use him as a traitor to Bolivar
He admitted that they tried to use him to give in to Colombia as a platform for the invasion of Venezuela. “How are the people of Colombia going to join those who want to kill their brother, who is not only the president, but the people of Venezuela? When would we be so traitors and sold out that we betrayed our own blood?” , he said, recalling that Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Panama are the same people freed by El Libertador Simón Bolívar.
“So they want the president to do what he wanted to be (Iván) Duque, a coward! , lending Colombia's land so that a sister country that has the same history as us would be invaded, because that's where Bolívar was born and came to die here in this city!” , he complained, indignantly.
He said that the president of Colombia cannot be the president of Colombia who acts in that way. “Whoever does that is a president cursed by future generations, because he will never be forgotten as a traitor!” , prophesied.
He clarified that he does not belong to the political class of the Colombian leadership that wanted to assassinate Bolivar in those years of the anti-imperialist independence struggle, and although he criticized the current Government of Venezuela, he does not mock the sister people. “I don't mock the people of Venezuela, nor do I build a trap for the people of Venezuela to fall into the trap that only goes for their oil, because what is wanted is greed and violence,” he argued, warning of the intention to turn the region into a territory for the sale of slaves as in the Spanish colony.
Regarding Trump's rude drug trafficking accusations against him, which he uses to threaten the country with a probable invasion, Petro stated that “what the president of Colombia has done is denounce drug traffickers for decades and those drug traffickers he has denounced have always been in political power in Colombia. In the State”.
