This Tuesday, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, gave his approval to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement with North Korea, which he plans to sign with his North Korean counterpart, Kim Jong-un, during his visit to North Korea.
The Kremlin reported in a statement, that Putin ordered “to accept the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, agreed with the federal state bodies and interested organizations, regarding the signing of the Treaty”, and authorizes the Foreign Ministry to “introduce modifications to the project”.
In that regard, the Russian head of state said, “Friendly relations between Russia and the DPRK go back more than seven decades and are rich in glorious historical traditions.”
“I am convinced that our joint efforts will take our bilateral interaction to a higher level,” he added.
