President Putin to visit India to seal trade and defense deals

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, will be in New Delhi on December 4 and 5, 2025, on his first visit to India since 2021.

Both countries described it as a “very high-level visit” aimed at strengthening the “special and privileged strategic partnership” between the two nations, Sputnik Mundo reports.

During his stay in India, the Russian president will hold high-level meetings, business commitments and cultural visits, the Kremlin said in a statement.

The agenda includes an informal individual meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by official negotiations, where 10 intergovernmental agreements and more than 15 trade agreements will be signed.
