The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, assured that “the United States (USA) would not be what it is if it weren't for Mexican workers.”

After a year in the Mexican Presidency with a popularity that exceeds 70 percent approval, Sheinbaum said, during his program Las Mañaneras del Pueblo, that Mexicans are lifting up the U.S. economy.

“Mexicans are so hardworking, but we are going to say 'are' and Mexican workers are so good that they have not only boosted the economy of Mexico, but also that of the United States,” he said.

The United States would not be what it is if it weren't for the Mexican workers who are there, the president reflected on the amount of Gross Domestic Product represented by all generations of Mexicans.

The head of state commented that “speaking with one of the businessmen of one of the American automotive companies, I'm not going to say which one, but she told me that 'the most productive plant they have in the whole world is the one in Mexico.”

On September 27, the president also reported that “now we want for the first time that the first thing to be discussed are the weapons that come from the United States to Mexico. And yesterday we reached an agreement that the United States will reinforce operations in the United States to control the flow of weapons from the United States to Mexico.”
