Presidential Commission for the recovery of the UCV continues rehabilitation work in the Lara Nucleus

The Presidential Commission for the Recovery of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) continues rehabilitation work in the Center of the Central Western Region, located in Barquisimeto, Lara state.

The project, executed in compliance with the agreements signed with the Center for Architecture Students (UDE.FAU), involves the intervention of more than 3,000 square meters of roofs distributed between the Central Library and the Architecture, Education, FACES and Medicine modules.

The general coordinator of the nucleus, Professor Melissa Parra, stressed that the works will benefit more than 550 members of the university community, including students, teachers, administrative, worker and security staff.

According to a press release issued by the institution and replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), the supervision of the project will be composed of the General Coordination and professors Máximo Izarra and Guillermo León, thus guaranteeing the development of the work.

For his part, the engineer in charge, Anthony Natera, explained that the works are carried out in phases and will end with the application of aluminized paint to mitigate solar impact and extend the durability of the conditioning.
