Presidents of Russia and North Korea hold meeting in China

This Wednesday, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, held a meeting in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, with the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, as part of the strengthening of bilateral ties.
Putin expressed satisfaction at the opportunity to talk personally with the North Korean leader, stressing that relations between the two countries have evolved towards a dynamic marked by trust and friendship.
The Russian president evoked the participation of North Korean military units in the liberation of the province of Kursk, after attacks attributed to Ukrainian forces. Putin praised the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), stressing that Russia will not forget the losses suffered by its troops or the pain of their families.
“On behalf of the Russian people, I want to thank them for their participation in the joint fight against modern neo-Nazism,” said President Putin.
Referring to the role of Pyongyang in the liberation of Kursk province, the North Korean president stressed that his nation's forces fought “side by side with the Russian people and their sister army.”
“If there is anything we can help Russia with, we will definitely do it and consider it a fraternal duty. And we will do everything we can to help Russia,” Kim Jong-un stressed.
