The president of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Infrastructure Habitability, Francisco Garcés, held a productive meeting with different chambers of the private sector linked to infrastructure, as well as various government entities, to evaluate the different actions to strengthen the framework of work and joint cooperation following the seismic event of last June 24.

In this regard, engineer Garcés indicated that these plans will be carried out as part of the guidelines of transparency, objectivity and professionalism in order to determine the causes of the double earthquake and to move on to the next phases of work.

He also called on all the institutions present to join the Technical Committee of Professionals, which, from the Committee on Habitability, is building new lines of action.

For his part, the president of Fedecamaras, Felipe Capozzolo, welcomed the approach: There is a private sector sitting at the table, available and committed to the specific issue of the tragedy and whatever comes next.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Venezuelan Chamber of Construction, the National Academy of Engineering and Habitat, the Venezuelan College of Architects, the Federation of Chambers and Associations of Commerce and Production of Venezuela (Fedecamaras) and the Fund for Standardization and Certification of Quality in Venezuela (Fondonorma), who presented proposals and projects to join the task of recovering and rebuilding the affected infrastructure.
