About 470 kilograms of María Bonita potato seeds, certified category II, were harvested in the La Ciénaga community, Guzmán Guillermo parish, Miranda municipality of Falcón state, as part of the work organized by the Scientific-Peasant Alliance.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), this process has great value for local and national productive development because it allows the replacement of agrotoxic products, thanks to the use of organic products made by producers and popular technologists.

This harvest day was accompanied by professors and students from the Alonso Gamero Territorial Polytechnic University, representatives of the Corporation for Scientific and Technological Development (Codecyt), the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Falcón), the Agricultural Secretariat of the Mayor's Office of the Miranda municipality, members of the San Luis Agricultural Technical School, the spokesperson for the National Land Commission, as well as community spokespersons.

These actions respond to the policies implemented by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, to promote agroecology in processes related to food production.
