The 4th International Festival of Progressive Theater of Venezuela (FITP) 2025 will arrive at the spaces of PDVSA La Estancia and Plaza La Juventud, in Caracas, with performances from Italy, Ecuador, Cuba and Spain.
According to the schedule, from Thursday 10 to Saturday 13 April, the Circus Zoé de Italy will present Deserance starting at 7:00 p.m. at La Estancia. The proposal combines circus, dance, electronic music and lyrical singing, with live musical performances.
In addition, from Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 April, the same installations will serve as the stage for the performance of Journey to Zero° of the Earth, a show by the Ecuadorian Performing Arts Circle that narrates the French geodesic mission, one of the first scientific expeditions on the planet, which visited the South American country in 1736. The work shows milestones in Ecuadorian and universal history.
For its part, in the Plaza La Juventud de Bellas Artes, the play Faro, by Teatro Aandante de Cuba, will be presented on Wednesday 16, at 5:00 p.m.; on Thursday 17, at 7:00 p.m.; and on Friday 18, at 5:00 p.m. On stage, the story will be told of a mother who takes care of her home, where fish are scarce, and this woman's children must travel farther to be able to fish. For this reason, the mother builds a beacon that guides them and allows them to see their house from any point in the distance.
In the same way, on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th, at 8:00 p.m., Plaza La Juventud will also host the show Peter Pan, by Grupo Puja de España, an aerial adventure with a happy ending that recreates the story of the well-known fictional character and reminds spectators to never forget the child they were at the beginning of their lives.
The Ministry of People's Power for Culture extended the invitation to the population to attend these events, which are completely free of charge.
