The National Public Health System (SPNS) in Yaracuy state strengthened comprehensive care for its citizens after receiving a significant supply of 67,000 doses of insulin, aimed at guaranteeing free treatment for patients enrolled in the Metabolic Endocrine Program (PEM).
The distribution of this shipment will cover the needs of more than two thousand patients who require NPH and crystalline insulin. In addition, the scope of this provision extends to another 3,600 patients who will receive oral hypoglycemic treatments, in addition to the strategic delivery of glucometers and test strips for the constant monitoring of glucose levels.
With this deployment, preventive and curative medical control is ensured for a total of 6,220 Yaracuyans, in order to strengthen the public health network in the region, according to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Health.
