Public Ministry charges citizen for the alleged disappearance of cats adopted in Caracas

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, this Sunday, February 15, reported that the Public Ministry (MP) charged Margarita Rodríguez with the crimes of Animal Abuse (abandonment) and Apology for Crime, as part of an investigation into the alleged disappearance of felines delivered under the modality of responsible adoption.
Through its official channels, Saab explained that the 86th National Prosecutor's Office requested precautionary measures before the Control Court, including the prohibition of the possession of any animal by the accused, while the investigation process is under way.
The Public Ministry stressed that during the actions, four felines were located and rescued, which are currently under protection to ensure their protection and well-being.
Saab reiterated that the institution will not tolerate aggressions that attack animals and reaffirmed the organization's commitment to the defense of their rights.
“The Public Ministry protects your pet,” he emphasized, accompanied by the hashtag #NoAlMaltratoAnimal.
