The Public Ministry (MP) charged a woman, identified as Margarita Rodríguez, for the crimes of animal abuse (abandonment) and apology of the crime, according to a post made on the institution's Instagram.

The publication explained that the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, appointed the 86th National Prosecutor's Office; which requested precautionary measures before the Control Court that prohibit the accused from keeping any animal while the investigation process ends.

The guarantor of the criminal action indicated that Rodríguez is allegedly responsible for the disappearance of felines delivered under the modality of adoption.

It was also known that four felines, currently in shelter, were located and rescued in the place.
