The Public Ministry requested a new arrest warrant against the fugitive from justice Leopoldo López for his recent calls for foreign powers to invade our country militarily.
“We are processing the request for a red alert to Interpol for the commission of the crimes of incitement of armed actions against the Republic, provided for in article 12 of the Simon Bolivar Organic Law,” Saab said during a press conference held this Monday.
In this regard, the prosecutor recalled that López was responsible for the guarimbas in 2017 and “sent to death dozens of young Venezuelans who had been kidnapped and drugged to carry out actions such as burning human beings and property alive.”
In the same way, the head of the criminal case in the country refuted that the former presidents of Colombia, Álvaro Uribe and Iván Duque, also join this narrative that seeks the total destruction of our country.
He also repudiated the fact that the national and international right, after trying to humiliate, harass and belittle our Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), intends to summon our military to act against our country.
