The attorney general of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, revealed this Tuesday the participation of police officials and the Public Ministry to cover up the murder of the iconic rapper Tirone González, known as Canserbero.
At a press conference, the Attorney General pointed out that “at this moment there are 6 detainees and others are fugitives from justice with an arrest warrant,” stressing that during this day a special hearing is being held before the Second Control Court of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas on the assumption of the complaint, as established by article 40 of the Organic Code of Criminal Procedure.
He explained that based on the information collected, the arrest warrant agreed on December 22 was requested before the Second Control Court of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas against the first officials who approached the scene of the event on January 19, 2015, identified as Gilbert Cruz, chief inspector of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) who headed the commission; Edgar Trillo, investigative inspector; Jesús Medina, technical detective.
An arrest warrant was also issued against the officer of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), Aquiles Blanco, who was on duty with the CICPC to date. “From the Aragua Criminal Laboratory Commission that illegally and criminally approached the site, we have the Deputy Inspector, Teresa Pinto and Detective Johnnel Toro,” he said.
Saab said that a seventh official involved died in acts of service in 2018, and stated that the arrest warrant against these officials is for the crimes of obstruction of the administration of justice, simulation of a punishable act, criminal association and aggravated own corruption.
In addition, an arrest warrant was issued against Soraya la Mendoza, “who was the pathologist who improperly performed the forensic autopsy of Tairone González and Carlos Molinar, because we were able to establish that this pathologist did not indicate in her expertise all the injuries presented to the victims.”
“Likewise, because of the criminal types of obstruction of the administration of justice, criminal association and concealment, we have also requested arrest warrants against the prosecutors who acted at that time in the administration of Luisa Ortega Díaz, lawyer Tulio Enrique Mendoza, the 30th national prosecutor with full competence; and Yoli Avelina Torres, former fourth prosecutor in the state of Aragua,” he added.
Finally, he announced that two auxiliary bodies were arranged to search for both of them and at the same time they issued a request for a red alert against them.
