In an immediate response to the heavy rainfall recorded during the morning of this Wednesday, May 13, officials from the National Risk Management System and the Police of the Guaicaipura de Miranda Municipality activated a special care device at kilometer 25 of the Pan-American highway, to ensure the protection of citizens and the restoration of road order.

After the fall of a large tree at the height of the Buenos Aires community, police officers showed up instantly at the site to carry out traffic control maneuvers and security perimeters to safeguard the integrity of drivers traveling between Caracas and Los Teques, thus mitigating the risks derived from the total obstruction of the road.

Under the premise of direct attention to the citizen, the municipal Civil Protection team is currently leading the clearing work through preventive cordoning off the area, the use of specialized equipment for rolling and the accelerated removal of plant material.

Simultaneously, the authorities are constantly monitoring the community of Buenos Aires to rule out additional damage to infrastructure and provide direct assistance to neighbors.

Finally, according to a press release from the Ministry of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, the citizen security forces reported that they will remain deployed in place until traffic flow is fully restored, reaffirming their commitment to surveillance, road assistance and effective response to the effects caused by the rainy season in the state of Miranda.
