The National Music and Cultural Mission Company, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, invites people from Caracas to participate this Monday, February 16, in the Carnation March starting at 10:00 in the morning at the Casa de la Libertad y Cultural Alí Primera, located in the San Carlos Barracks, up to Plaza Bolívar.

Popular cultivators, writers, artists and cultural promoters will participate in this walk of love and hope to commemorate the 41st anniversary of the planting of the Cantor del Pueblo, Ali Primera to celebrate with music, art and poetry this encounter with the singing father who is still among the people whose message is more relevant than ever.

The Carnation March is a tribute to commemorate the physical departure of the Venezuelan singer-songwriter. He is characterized by the use of red carnations and the singing of his songs to honor his revolutionary legacy, his social struggle and his “necessary song”.

On February 16, 1985, Cantor del Pueblo died in a car accident on the Valle-Coche highway in the city of Caracas.
