The Qatari Prime Minister, Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, said he did not see effective global initiatives to stop the armed offensive or the shortage of food in Gaza.
During an appearance in Cairo, he urged States to take responsibility for lifting the siege and curbing malnutrition in the enclave.
Qatar and Egypt continue to be partners in talks between Israel and Hamas, with the objective of reaching a truce. Al-Thani assured that both countries will maintain diplomatic efforts, according to a Sputnik press release.
On August 22, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) warned of extreme hunger in Gaza, where it is estimated that more than 640,000 residents will face a serious food crisis by the end of September.
The Israeli attacks have killed more than 62,000 Palestinians, most of them civilians.
