The former national coach, Rafael Dudamel, was officially presented as the new technical director of Deportivo Pereira in the First Division of Colombia.

The Venezuelan signed a bond for 20 months (until December 2026).

This will be Dudamel's third experience managing a Colombian team, after managing Deportivo Cali and Atlético Bucaramanga.

Through a statement published on its social networks, Deportivo Pereira previously welcomed the Venezuelan coach and his technical team to the club.

“We have to resume those levels of high competition, now it's my job to join the workforce. There is no room for error,” said Dudamel during his official presentation.

He also said that the most important thing is that when people go to see the team, they know what the team is playing for. “Walking the court is unacceptable, we came to demand,” he added.

Deportivo Pereira is in 12th place in the Apertura standings, with 13 points in 12 rounds.
