The Venezuelan wrestler Raiber Rodríguez has the first Olympic diploma in Greco-Roman wrestling, in the history of Venezuela at an Olympic Games, after placing fifth in the 60 kg category.

Rodriguez fell to North Korea's Ri Se Ung 8-0, in his fight for the bronze medal, the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (CVO) reported, through a message posted on his account on the social network X.

The Venezuelan advanced to this stage after beating Egypt's Moamen Mohamed 12-1 in the repechage.

This is Rodríguez's second participation in the Olympic Games after participating in Rio 2016.
