The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, supervised this Sunday the dredging work in the Tacagua ravine, located in the Puerto Viejo sector, within the Catia la Mar communal territory.

Terán explained that “of the eleven prioritized rivers, we have already intervened the Tacagua stream and the Marapa Piache river. We are doing all this in coordination with the Ministry of People's Power for Public Works.”

He also reported that cleaning work will soon be carried out in the Los Cascabeles stream and the San Julián River as part of the comprehensive risk management and prevention plan.

During the day of supervision, the Governor was accompanied by the General Commander of the Navy, Ashraf Suleimán; the Commander of the ZODI La Guaira, Gregorio Briceño Paniagua; and the Secretary of Public Security of the Government, Andrés Goncalves.
