Inhabitants of more than 105 cities in 80 countries around the world deployed, this Saturday, in support of Venezuela in the face of recent threats from the United States against our country.
This was reported by the secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Rander Peña, who assured that more than 10,000 people participated in this mobilization.
In this regard, he stressed that these international groups agreed to remain in permanent mobilization to support Venezuela and to dismantle the arguments of imperialism about military deployment in the Caribbean to supposedly combat drug trafficking.
Similarly, in an interview with Venezolana de Televisión, Peña recalled that 87% of the drugs produced in Colombia are sent to the United States through the Pacific Sea and not through the Caribbean.
“There is no US military deployment for the peaceful because there is no real intention to combat drug trafficking, the real intention of this deployment is to intimidate, to threaten peace,” he stressed while describing the sending of a nuclear submarine to combat drug trafficking as “disproportionate”.
“Behind this deployment there is an intention to threaten peace and bring about regime change in Venezuela. In our country they want to intervene by force, by violence,” he emphasized while stressing that these threats have served to unite the Venezuelan people who have voluntarily joined the Bolivarian Militia for the defense of the Homeland.
In the same way, Peña recalled all the devices that the United States has used to try to attack the country and the great efforts that President Maduro has made to guarantee peace and sustenance in Venezuela.
