Recovered Mercal inaugurated in Naiguatá

Mayor of the Vargas municipality, La Guaira state, José Manuel Suárez, accompanied the inauguration of a Mercal establishment in the Naiguatá parish, with the purpose of benefiting more than six thousand families by distributing food at affordable prices. The comprehensive rehabilitation project included specialized work in commercial facilities to ensure optimal care spaces.

During the tour of the supply center, the local president detailed the work carried out to set up the commercial area. “This Mercal where masonry work was done, electrification work, painting, bathroom repair, repair of the part of what is the refrigeration equipment and other arrangements that were made to this one, to this Mercal, updating it and thus guaranteeing the supply and sale of food items at a subsidized price as our people deserve it,” he said.

The renovated space offers residents of the community essential items with significant discounts that reach up to a seventy percent subsidy on certain products. This reopening directly benefits twenty-four communal councils in the Guaireña coastal area, strengthening access to quality food items.
