The structural rehabilitation maneuvers on Line 1 Tablazo-Cuatricentenario, located on Lake Maracaibo, are progressing steadily by replacing approximately 10 kilometers of conductor, an action that will provide greater reliability to the power system in the state of Zulia.
These technical tasks, carried out by specialized teams from the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), included the replacement of insulator profiles and chains, thus ensuring the operability of this strategic infrastructure.
The People's Power Minister for Electric Energy, Jorge Márquez, indicated that these actions will allow us to have “a better electricity service in the state of Zulia because this line will allow us to give reliability to the system and transfer more power.”
He also emphasized that these corrective works respond to a thorough planning prepared by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, as part of Q2: Human Cities for Good Living, Public Services and Infrastructure, which defines policies to “improve all public services and that is what we are doing.”
“It's a lie that a foreign force is going to come to fix our country's problems, we Venezuelans solve the problems with a plan and program established by President Nicolás Maduro,” he stressed.
Márquez noted that the efforts led by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to strengthen the electricity supply in the west of the country.
For his part, the governor of Zulia, Luis Caldera, highlighted the significant improvements that, in terms of electricity, are being consolidated in the entity.
He detailed approaches aimed at ensuring better supply to communities through the installation of transformers and luminaires.
“There are more than 2,300 transformers in 2025 that were replaced in communities; they are improvements to the Termozulia Plant; it is investment in the distribution network, that is, electricity for the development of Zulianos and Zulianas,” he said.
