Rehabilitation of the “Tunnel of Love” on the Caracas - La Guaira highway reaches 78% progress

The Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation (MPPT), reported that comprehensive rehabilitation work in the Tunnel of Love, located in the El Limón sector, on the Caracas - La Guaira highway, is 78% complete.
For the development of the work, the crews of the National Road Maintenance Company (ENVIAL) are constantly deployed to ensure the safety of users and the durability of the infrastructure.
With this progress, we have achieved the unclogging and cleaning of the sewers for better drainage, the consolidation of defenses, the reinforcement of the road and the optimization of the gabion system with the coating of the sewers to prevent undermining and improve soil containment.
In addition to structural improvements, the rehabilitation plan includes environmental sanitation of the area.
These actions are part of the comprehensive care plan for the Caracas - La Guaira Caribbean Villages Corridor, which seeks not only technical functionality, but also the aesthetic rescue of communities for the good life of the Venezuelan people.
