Rehabilitation works at the Concepción Palacios maternity hospital are 45% complete

An improvement of 45% shows the process of deep rehabilitation being carried out by the National Government in the historic Concepción Palacios Maternity Hospital, located on Avenida San Martín in Caracas.

The work is carried out as part of the Doctor José Gregorio Hernández Plan, under the coordination of the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services, which carries out continuous 24-hour work to transform the eight floors of the institution.

According to a press release from Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), crews and specialized technical personnel are recovering its main façade, which covers more than five thousand square meters.

The first three floors of the healthcare center are operated simultaneously, to optimize vital spaces such as the delivery room, which will extend its care capacity, the recovery and neonatal rooms, operating room and maternal-fetal medicine areas, as well as the Intensive Care and Neonatal Intensive Care units.

The technical staff is also making progress in the comprehensive refurbishment of bathrooms, ceilings and lighting systems, which will continue with the intervention of the hospitalization rooms located on floors 6, 7 and 8, thus consolidating the total renovation of this national reference center in health.
