Venezuelan boating, made up of Reinaldo Argüello and Jeremy Iglesias, won the silver medal in the C2 500 event at the 25th edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games.

The Venezuelan pair placed second with a time of 1:43.38, behind the Cuban kayakers who won the race with 1:41.61. The podium was completed by the Colombian couple of Cristián Ávila and Daniel Pacheco with 1:45.01.

In other appearances on the day of canoeing in Santo Domingo 2026, Daniel Román dominated the qualifying series of the K1 200 m c with the fastest time of the two rounds with 37.04; as did Ray Acuña in series 1 of the K1 1000 meters with a time of 3:46.45.

In addition, the duo of Verónica Garrido and Luismary Bellorín saw action, who finished fourth in the qualifiers of the C2 500 meters (2:10.14).
