The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Caryslia Rodríguez, announced that the representatives of the Bureau of Democratic Unity (MUD), the Movement for Venezuela (MPV) and a New Time (UNT), during their attendance before the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court, stated that they did not have the lists of witnesses, nor had they been responsible for the transfer and protection of electoral instruments, but that everything remained in the hands of Sumate.

During a meeting with journalists and accredited diplomatic corps in the country, Rodríguez took stock of each phase of the Electoral Litigation process, so that all information is public and actions are carried out with transparency, fulfilling his commitment to the Venezuelan people.

“38 representatives of political organizations and the 10 former presidential candidates were legally summoned to whom the 38 political organizations attended and only 33 of them delivered the required material,” he said.

He indicated that former candidate Edmundo González Urrutia did not attend, so he did not comply with the summons, flouting the highest court, and therefore did not comply with the record, list of witnesses, or any material.

He emphasized that Manuel Rosales, José Luis Cartaya and José Simón Calzadilla, did not record any electoral material, arguing that they “have no documentation,” they said that Súmate is part of the technical service that took over the minutes and posted them on a website, which is being investigated by the Attorney General.

In this regard, he reported that they will begin the examination of all electoral material of evidentiary value recorded in physical or digital form. As well as the expertise on the massive cyber attack to which the Venezuelan Electoral System was the subject.

“This constitutional chamber has a highly qualified and qualified staff who will make use of the highest technical standards to guarantee to all citizens and citizens that we will resolve in a sovereign manner the conflicts that fall exclusively within the competence of the Venezuelan State,” he said.

He maintained that the Electoral Chamber will continue with the survey initiated on August 5, 2024 in order to produce a final judgment and its decision will be unappealable and mandatory.

The Magistrate pointed out that all the rectors of the National Electoral Council (CNE), headed by Elvis Amoroso, appeared before the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court and recorded all the provisions related to the July 28 process.
