Restricted passage on the Mérida-Barinas trans-Andean highway due to landslide

The Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation reported that passage on Local 001, via Transandina between the states of Mérida and Barinas, specifically in the La Raya sector, is restricted due to a landslide as a result of the continuous rains that have fallen in the area.
In its account on the social network Intagram, the Ministry points out that the damage to the road also caused a transport unit to be trapped with passengers, who were rescued and are out of danger.
According to Civil Protection, 50 homes are damaged and more than 200 families are incommunicado in the Bolivar municipality, in Barinitas, in the state of Barinas, said the mayor of the jurisdiction, Mayra Jaramillo.
He stressed that the Civil Protection and Fire Department of the state of Barinas are deployed to provide a timely response to affected families.
It also points out that the workers of the Great Transport Mission Venezuela will carry out cleaning and road clearance work as the intensity of the rain decreases.
