“Reuters blatantly lies”: Delcy Rodríguez confirms that PDVSA maintains commitments to Chevron

The Executive Vice President of the Republic and Minister of People's Power for Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed this Wednesday that Petrleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) “maintains its commitments to Chevron as contemplated in its contracts and in accordance with the laws of the country.”

“Reuters is blatantly lying,” Rodríguez said in response to an article in the British media, where they indicate that the vessels of the US oil company chartered to transport Venezuelan crude “are looking for other businesses.”

The senior Venezuelan official said that "Chevron, on the contrary, is a victim of illegal sanctions by the U.S. Government. Evidence in this regard lies in our hands,” he emphasized.

“Apparently, Reuters makes lies their daily routine and disqualifies itself to address energy issues in Venezuela. And of the world as well. Venezuela will continue its own path of recovery despite criminal blockades and mediocre media fakes,” Rodríguez added.
