Second Reynaldo Pérez Só 2025 National High School Poetry Competition opened the call to young students who are sensitive and motivated to write, who are in both public and private institutions, at all levels of secondary education in the country, to participate with their texts.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, they will have until May 15 to register their unpublished texts (with a minimum length of 10 and a maximum of 20 pages), for this contest organized by the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Communication, Culture and Tourism; the Ministry of Popular Power for Education; and the Juan Calzadilla National School of Poetry.

The coordinator of this school, Ana María Oviedo, stressed that caring for high school students “is very important, so that they have self-knowledge, because we create sensitivities so that they know themselves and discover their vocation.”

For his part, the coordinator of the National School of Poetry (Caracas chapter), José Javier Sánchez, commented that the experience with the first edition of this contest was “a great satisfaction; we managed to invite more than 300 students, so that they, from their voice and word, could express a little the universe of their sensitivity”.

Young students from all levels of secondary education in the country, both public and private, will be able to participate in this call. The contestants will send their texts in a word or PDF file to the email: [email protected], with a minimum length of ten (10) pages and a maximum of twenty (20), in Arial font, size 12, in double space. These requirements are mandatory.
