The president of Radio Nacional de Venezuela (RNV), Isbemar Jiménez, reported this Tuesday that a clandestine radio station is usurping the signal of the 101.1 FM station. in San Antonio del Táchira, with reach as far as Colombian territory.

“We alert the authorities and the people, we denounce the usurpation and illegal use of the RNV slogan, and we announce that we are taking all appropriate legal action before the appropriate State institutions to investigate who is behind this crime against the homeland,” said Jiménez, a note from the Venezuelan News Agency.

He pointed out that the 106.1 FM frequency, a signal with music that can be heard in Villa del Rosario, Cucuta, has been interfering with the legitimate RNV signal since last Wednesday, which transmits on 101.1 FM.

In addition, he indicated that since the weekend the illegal signal began to broadcast identifiers (station name and brand) that linked the 106.1 FM frequency with RNV, using its official motto.

In view of this, Jiménez alerted the authorities and said that the situation is worrying, considering that it occurs in a context of complaints by the Bolivarian Government about threats against the country's stability.

RNV workers reiterated their commitment to protect the operation of the radio station and defend the sovereignty of radio space, guaranteeing access to timely and truthful information.
