The
president
of the National Assembly (AN),
Jorge
Rodríguez emphasized that the only law that cannot be amended 6 months before an electoral event is called, is the Organic Law on Electoral
Processes.
“Only
the Organic Law
on Electoral
Processes, can all other laws be reviewed and can be
addressed within the framework of the dialogue that is taking place. The Special
Electoral
Commission of
the National
Assembly
is still working,” Rodríguez explained.
During a press conference, after a working meeting of the Special Electoral Committee of the National Assembly (AN) with the authority of the National Electoral Council (CNE) , he pointed out that despite the fact that there is quite a A conglomerate of rules to govern the elections of this year 2025, it is likely that the Commission will submit a set of proposals to the electoral power and that they, together with us, will bring it to the plenary of the National Assembly.
He also
recalled that the Law and
the Organic Law on
Electoral Processes
indicates what
are the requirements
to
be a candidate and are those established
in the Constitution of
