The national coordinator of the Venezuela
Nuestra Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez, from the Andrés Eloy Blanco High School located
in the Sucre parish, highlighted the participation of the people of the popular areas
in the electoral process.
“There are still voters in the voting lines and
they are exercising their right and electing the president of the Bolivarian Republic
of Venezuela; we are here with what characterizes us, our joy, our
attachment to peace, our desire that we all feel included.”
He also pointed out that the electoral centers “in our
neighborhoods, rural areas and the most popular sectors are still voters in
the voting queues and we tell them to keep the voting centers open
until 6:00 in the afternoon as established and then to wait for the National Electoral
Council bulletin, and guess where we see ourselves tonight?”
Rodríguez
said that election day “was a vote for peace, it was a vote for the
growth of our country's economy, it was a vote of everyone for
inclusion”, so he recommended that those sectors where “some bitter
faces” have been noticed to “not be bitter”.
Finally, he said, “to these people who for
so long insisted on lies and violence, we tell them: the truth
always prevails and the truth now fills us with joy”.
