During the
swearing in of Leonardo Intoci as governor of the state of
Yaracuy, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge
Rodríguez, highlighted the importance of July 27, the date on which
young people will have the opportunity to decide on projects in the Popular Consultation
and for mayoral elections across the country.
“It is the people who must decide where they want the court, what projects they need and how the budget should be invested (...) we are going for the 14 mayors of the state of Yaracuy and 100% of the Municipal Councils, we expect nothing less,” he said.
In his speech, Rodríguez also addressed the situation of the compatriots detained in El Salvador, demanding their prompt release and return to their country. “They are innocent, they did not commit any crime and must be returned to the embrace of their families,” he said, condemning the repressive policy of the Salvadoran government.
Rodríguez congratulated the People of Yaracuy for the election of Leonardo Intoci as governor, highlighting his commitment to the transformation of the state and the construction of a future of prosperity and happiness. “They have chosen an honest young man, with a vision of the future, who will work tirelessly for the well-being of his people,” he concluded.
