Venezuelan triathlete Rosa Elena Martínez won the bronze medal in the elite women's category at the Viña del Mar Triathlon World Cup 2025.

The Venezuelan woman managed to climb the podium after achieving a time of 57 minutes and 10 seconds, after taking a 750-meter course swimming (1 lap) in 9 minutes and 26 seconds, 18.9 kilometers by bike (3 laps) in 28 minutes and 57 seconds, and finally 5 kilometers of running (2 laps) in 17 minutes and 14 seconds.

Martínez crossed the finish line behind the Luxembourgish Juana Lehair who stopped the stopwatch at 56:13 and the Spanish Sara Guerrero who recorded 56:35, according to a press release from the Ministry of Sport.

“This is the first time I have achieved third place in a World Cup, I have just had surgery for appendicitis so I haven't competed for five months, besides that it's my second international competition and I'm making history for my country, I feel too happy,” Martínez said.
