The Venezuelan athlete Rosa Rodríguez got her pass to the final of the hammer throw at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

With a 71.76-meter pitch on his third attempt, Rodríguez placed tenth to secure his ticket to the final.

“I am super happy, happy, the work we have been doing paid off, I had it planned and everything happened,” Rodríguez said after her classification, the Ministry for Youth and Sports reported to the press.

Rodríguez said that the group he faced was the strongest. “There were six classified with the minimum mark, that puts a little pressure, but by controlling those nerves you can do better things,” he added.

The Venezuelan won her first qualification to an Olympic final, after participating in 4 editions of the Olympic Games.

The final of the women's hammer throw will take place on August 6 at 1:57 P.M. (Ve Nezuela time).
