Rosa Rodríguez won the silver one in Hammer Throw at the 2026 Central American Games

At the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium, Rosa Rodríguez won the silver medal in Hammer Throwing at the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, and rewrote her name in the continent's sporting history when she reached her fourth consecutive podium.

The tricolor representative signed the runner-up with a better record of 66.17 meters in her turn, being surpassed only by the Colombian Mayra Gaviria 67.59 m. The podium was completed by the Cuban Yaritza Martínez with a 65.90 m pitch.

With this presentation, Venezuela has won its first two medals in athletics, after the one won by long-distance runner Edymar Brea in the 5,000 meters above sea level.
