Ruiz: The Ombudsman's Office will deploy 700 servers across the country on 28J

The Ombudsman, Alfredo Ruiz, reported that the institution will activate 700 civil servants to ensure effective compliance with human rights and the right to participation of Venezuelans in the elections of July 28.

“The Office of the Ombudsman will ensure political rights and the right to vote for all, but especially groups of people with disabilities, older adults, pregnant women, and others,” he stressed.

In this regard, he specified that of those 700 people, 219 will be deployed in the Metropolitan Area of Caracas and 481 in defense offices across the country.

“In total, we will visit 1,436 electoral centers nationwide, 3,000 polling stations, 228 centers in the Metropolitan Area of Caracas and 1,208 in the rest of the country,” he said.

He noted that the defense deployment will take place from July 26 to July 28 with the close of voting.

He highlighted that for two months the institution has held 166 workshops and courses on the right to vote, training 3,300 people.

He added that from March 25 to April 16, the Ombudsman's Office visited 62% of the points installed by the National Electoral Council (CNE).

He stressed that the institution will work together with the CNE, Plan República, the Strategic Operational Command, and the Justice Administration System in each state.
