This Monday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov reported that together with the People's Republic of China they have drastically reduced their dependence on the dollar in commercial transactions, carrying out most of these operations in their national currencies.
“Russia and China have managed to dispense with practically 90% of the dollar in their commercial exchange, for which they carry out all transactions in their national currencies,” Lavrov said.
He also added that “in general terms, we are regularly interested in creating joint projects, especially in areas such as the economy and education.”
Lavrov also pointed out that, after the removal of the restrictive measures imposed by Beijing, there has been a notable increase in commercial exchange between Russian regions and Chinese provinces.
