This Wednesday, the spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, reported that the rotation of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), at the Zaporiyia nuclear power plant, located in the southeast, failed again due to the blockade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The rotation began as scheduled for February 12, and Ukrainian forces interrupted the movement of the group of experts. Russian soldiers remained in the area “for several hours under drone attacks and the threat of bombing”.
The convoy carrying outgoing IAEA personnel and Russian soldiers was attacked with drones and mortars, Zakharova said.
Kiev reportedly launched an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) against the plant, which hit just 300 meters from the reactors. “This act demonstrates the terrorist nature of Ukraine and its inability to negotiate,” Zakharova accused, reiterating that Russia will “neutralize all threats” against the installation.
