This Friday, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, Ma Zhaoxu, and his counterparts from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazem Gharibabadi, and the Russian Federation, Sergei Ryabkov, called for an end to all illegal unilateral sanctions and to create a favorable atmosphere for diplomacy.

The Asian press quoted by Telesur explained that at the trilateral meeting, characterized by increased tensions between Tehran and Washington, the three participants maintained that dialogue based on mutual respect is the only viable solution and that sanctions, pressure and threats must be abandoned, referring to the United States (USA).

The representatives of the three nations stressed that all parties must work to eliminate the root causes behind the current situation, in addition to abandoning sanctions, pressure and threats.

In this context, Iran has condemned the new US sanctions against its oil sector and has stated that they represent a demonstration of Washington's “dishonesty”, which persists in negotiating, but maintains the policy of “maximum pressure” towards Tehran.
