Russia: NATO military exercises undermine global stability

The Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, noted that the current North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Firm Defender military exercises escalate tensions and undermine global stability.

In this regard, he pointed out that NATO has become an instrument of alliance for the United States that continues to expand to Russia's western borders.

“The destructive role of the United States in recent history is evident. No other country has launched so many wars and military conflicts or caused so many economic crises,” he said.

In addition, he added that the block plans to further increase its presence in the Asia-Pacific and Arctic regions.

As published by Xhinhua, the Russian diplomat warned that these NATO exercises reflect its “growing aggressive nature”.
