The security forces of the Russian Federation are organizing a large scale operation to locate and dismantle cells of Ukrainian terrorist organizations within their territory, according to security sources cited by the RIA Novosti agency.
The action responds to the growing activity of groups linked to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such as the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) and the Russian Freedom Legion (LSR), who were accused by Moscow of carrying out sabotage on Russian soil.
The authorities also report that these groups receive funding and logistical support from Western agencies, including the dismantled United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and operate in coordination with Ukrainian intelligence services, such as the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
Security sources consulted by RIA Novosti indicated that the leaks of information about these groups would not generate major repercussions for the West, since the individuals involved are not part of professional combat units, but rather of a network of agents considered disposable.
