Russia: President Putin thanked Saudi Arabia and the US for support

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, thanked the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohamed bin Salman, in a phone call for creating favorable conditions for the Russian-American talks held this week, the Kremlin press service reported.

“Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated the crown prince, the leaders and the people of the kingdom on the occasion of the next holiday, the National Day of Saudi Arabia, and also expressed his gratitude for the creation of favorable conditions for the Russian-American talks in Riyadh on February 18 and the hospitality shown,” Sputnik said in a quote to the Russian leader.

The heads of state also confirmed “their commitment to continue to progressively develop Russian-Saudi cooperation, including areas such as trade, investment and energy”.

“The parties will continue to cooperate closely within the framework of OPEC+ in order to maintain stability in the global oil market,” the text states.
